I find myself being jealous of all of you. Not any one particular person, but all of you lumped together create an amazingly fun/happy/blissful/charming/ exciting[ life that I am really jealous of. I am jealous of those who live in Hawaii and those who have annual passes to Disneyland, and those who went on a cruise, or to Mexico, or to Syria, or just had the cutest twins, or those who can express themselves well, and the list goes on.
I try not to think about it for long because I know that it is illogical and unfair! Its illogical and unfair because no one person gets to do ALL of that stuff. And, honestly, do you want to blog about the really crappy part of life, no!
In reality I have a great life and get to do fun things too! Seeing my friends have happy, meaningful lives adds to my happiness as well.
Ahh, I just had to vent! Do you understand me? Do you feel that way sometimes or is it just crazy old me?
So, tomorrow... or at least within a couple days, I will post some pics of the recent fun stuff.
P.S. I really am a happy, optimistic person. But, I guess I still have some growing up to do... not being so selfish that I want all of those experiences for myself. I lam so greatful for and appreciate the things I have, the experiences of my life, the people I know, the knowledge I have and the knowledge that my Heavenly Father has given me everything and continues to guide me through my faith. I WOULDN'T TRADE IT FOR THE WORLD!!!

Blogging is not healthy for me

I completely understand! it is hard to look, enjoy the fun of other folk and not compare yourself. I've even been jealous of you a time or two...or three! I am excited to hear and see what you've been up to! luv ya!
So go to my page and click on Katie and Warren Tickner ( Katie Johnson ) and read how miserable her life is right now. It will make you feel better and laugh all in one! Don't worry, everyone has issues, they just don't talk about it. I have my daughter's bday party tomorrow and absolutely no money for it! So see, I have problems too. I'm working for Tuality Hospital these days and just loving it! Talk to you soon.
Hi, Julee! It's good to be in touch again after all these years. You look beautiful, as I remember you did way back when we were little beehives!
I think we ALL wonder every now and then if blogging is really healthy for us... :)
I am very happy to see you blogging after all these weeks! I love reading about your life. Its fun to catch up. You are in the fun newlywed stage, it doesn't last forever, so take advantage of it!!! Don't worry, when I blog, I usually write about the fun stuff, because honestly there are DAYS when I don't get out of the house at all and nothing exciting happens. That's when I post cute pictures of my little boy and make an "uninteresting" story as interesting as I can.
i am jealous of the cruises and vacations too. having content that's 'blogworthy' is subjective. a good post is one people can relate to--like this one. keep it real.
Julee, I love this post. This is real, and believe it or not, we can all relate! (Okay, maybe everyone except for Bridget, since her life actually is perfect and she is the smartest person on the planet.) But we all have to remember that typically people in our circle blog their photos, and we don't normally take pictures of the mundane or downright poopy parts of life. Just look at all the great pictures you just posted above. Don't you think some of your friends (including me) would love to be tubing, dancing, fishing, going to Hawaii, etc? Well we would. And it's not all lollipops and roses, where were you when Mikael was a self-proclaimed "whale" who couldn't get off the couch? And Hello Sarah's-mother-in-law-drama. It's great when we can be honest and vent a little bit about the gritty stuff in life. That's what friends are for: they know that stuff and love you anyway! But also, I think that blogging can be a way to remain focused on the positive pieces of life. To look for joy in the every day. I don't want to be one of those people who says, "When you have a kid, you'll understand," but (here I go), since Madelyn's arrival I have a strong desire to capture little moments in our life--her life--that wasn't really there when it was just Gary and me. And then add to the mix the delight that comes from sharing our silly stories with friends and reading theirs in return, and that is the reason we keep on blogging. So I think that NOT blogging is what is unhealthy for you. Take more pictures of everyday things, and don't be afraid to share what seem like dumb stories, we all love to know what you are up to. The process of finding your bliss amidst the ordinary, and turning those experiences into words can be very cathartic. I love you tons, and I look forward to more Georgeville.
First of all, I am absolutely in love with the fact that Lindsey directed you to my blog so you could read about my meltdown. That girl makes me laugh. Second of all, most people only blog about the good things. My friend says that most blogs are like Christmas letters on crack. HA! Have you read the blog www.seriouslysoblessed.blogspot.com? It makes fun of all the typical my-life-is-perfect-and-better-than-yours blogs. I just think most people don't want to put their crazy faults out on the internet, which is understandable. I do it only because I like the sympathy. :-)
Julee, do you really want to be a cow? that is my life. And I smell like spit up when derek gets home. I usually cry once everyday while the twins are balling and colicky. I havent had sex in about 3 months (that will change tomorrow :) ) and I am all hormonal. It is so true that people post about the best parts of their lives, and my best parts I want to keep and I love!!!! With every good comes some bad. And it looks like you are having a great and happy life :) I MISS YOU!!!!!
PS- Kristen is so right!
Julee, Kristen is totally right. Especially where she said my life is perfect. Hahahahahahahahahahaha. Just kidding. Do you have an invite to Miriam's blog? There's definitely real-life stuff on there.
